HD Acoustic Echo Cancellation Solution for TI C674x DSPs
Plymouth Meeting, PA, October 5, 2015 – Adaptive Digital Technologies’ (Adaptive Digital) High Definition Acoustic Echo
Canceller (HD AEC™) handles extraordinary echoic challenges and delivers exceptional voice quality. HD AEC is a complex
algorithm which includes noise reduction (NR), as well as anti-howling, adaptive filtering, nonlinear processing, microphone
selection, gain and microphone equalization and double-talk detection. Adaptive Digital uses a proprietary fast converging
adaptive filter and non-linear processor to deliver robust double talk performance even in harsh conditions. Adaptive Digital’s
HD AEC software solution boasts multi microphone capability, full-duplex operation, and superior double-talk performance.
Additionally HD AEC operates in narrowband (NB), wideband (WB), super-wideband (SWB) and full band (FB) capability.
The full featured HD AEC Solution runs on a Texas Instruments TMS320C6748 fixed- and floating-point digital signal processor
(DSP). The TMS320C6748 DSP enables original-equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and original-design manufacturers (ODMs) to
quickly bring to market devices with robust operating systems, rich user interfaces, and high processor performance through
the maximum flexibility of a fully integrated, mixed processor solution. Adaptive Digital’s HD AEC solution supports up to five
(5) microphones, and up to 400 millisecond room echo tail length.
Adaptive Digital’s HD AEC product provides superior voice clarity and true full duplex performance under a wide set of acoustic
environments. It is capable of eliminating the acoustic echo in difficult conditions such as unbalanced speech levels, close
speaker to mic proximity, background noise, double talk, echoic reflective room surfaces, and echo path changes. The
extraordinary voice quality of Adaptive Digital’s HD AEC is validated by its adoption into several global Tier 1 IP phone
manufacturers’ product.
The HD AEC C6748 DSP solution was rigorously tested during development. Under the most challenging of
circumstance, HD AEC was able to achieve full-duplex performance. Equipment manufacturers can differentiate their
next gen offering by integrating Adaptive Digital’s HD AEC solution into their product. Based upon the exceptional
voice quality that HD AEC achieves, by incorporating HD AEC into their design, OEMs/ODMs will distinguish
themselves in the marketplace.
HD AEC for the C674x DSP is a complete acoustic echo cancellation solution. Demonstration hardware available upon request.
Adaptive Digital’s G.PAK framework handles all of the functionality.

About Adaptive Digital’s G.PAK™ Framework
G.PAK is a scalable and configurable voice-over-packet DSP software solution that turns a digital signal processor
into an easily controlled voice-over-packet engine. G.PAK integrates the building blocks that are required in voiceover-packet
systems into a turnkey solution.
